There are many sources that provide recommendations, but I can't help but appreciate those from Recomendo more and more. It was personally one of the first newsletters ever that introduced me to the world of newsletters in general, and I always find it interesting. Furthermore, the spaces also dedicated to ads see interesting things and often provide space for other newsletters.
Two great rec's : the velvet hangars and the science site. We got some of the hangars from our daughter who quit a home business and they seem to "grab" the cloth that usually slides off plastic hangars. And the site ExplainThatStuff is really fun to read! Tnx! rjc
As to the hangers, are they sturdy-enough to last for 10-15 years used by a large number of people hanging ski clothes? Which can be damp and heavy after a stormy day?
(I’m looking to replace the ridiculous wire dry-cleaner hangers in the drying room of a ski lodge.)
Amazon also has some very nice wooden hangers for about $2/each…(yes there are cheaper but one hanger has a pants bar designed to handle bulkier items.)
i’m inclined to the more expensive wooden ones, but since you’re raising the subject of hangers, I thought we could go there. And the “no-slip” element might be useful for sometimes slick outdoor gear.
I looked up my history on Amazon and the ones I got were AmazonBasics Wood Suit Hangers - 30 Pack, Natural. I also got some of these, a notch up, but they are also "not avaiable>" https://amzn.to/4ccSECh
Proman Products KSC3031 Kascade Wooden Hangers 50 Pack, Unique Ring Design, Space Saving Pants Clothes Hanger with Pants Locking Bar and Shoulder Notches, Natural

Thank you, Riccardo! I'm glad you find Recomendo useful. Please tell all your friends to subscribe :)
Already done!

I bought the Amazon wooden hangers (which I recommended in Recomendo long ago), and they have been great over many years.
Alas, your 2017 Amazon recommendation is a dead link. 😩
And believe it or not, there’s quite a spread in what look to be decent wooden hangers:
$1/each to $2/each.
I’m looking for 50 hangers, which is still nickels and dimes.
(The $2 hanger does have a nice feature: more room for garments over the bar).
I’m all for economy but I’m a believer in the efficiency of capitalism in micro-markets (i.e. “You get what you pay for.”)
So I went to a good ski shop (EVO) to see what they use and they were just ordinary…nothing apparently special.
I guess I’ll buy one batch at each end of the range and return the one I don’t want.

Given the research you are doing, let us know which ones you end up liking.
I'm not sure if they will last that long. It sounds like you hangers will get a lot of heavy use, so I would go with something robust.
