Is the World’s cheapest destinations “5th” edition the 2019 edition? Amazon states published in 2019, but i assume a 5/6 year content would be outdated at this stage. Maybe good to link to 2024 edition if there is one. Cheers
Retro Recomendo is such a great idea! The intimate boat tours in the Galapagos sound like an unforgettable experience. Also, I’ve got to check out the Pitt Rivers Museum—it’s a shame it’s changed over the years, but it still seems like a treasure trove of curiosity. Thanks for sharing these gems!
Pitt-Rivers Museum in Oxford was once pretty amazing. However succumbing to ideological pressures, it has changed dramatically in recent years. They have suppressed the wonder of Victorian conquest and exploration — shrunken heads, for example, are off display as being disrespectful. Visitors may find the old magic missing.
