For this particular edition, I'd add 'summarizing books in 5 bullet points' to the list of '43 things that don't work' :-), but that's maybe just me.
Sadly for all of us, that Irpan quote is true only when “worst” refers to AI capability — the typical technologist view. From a societal perspective we are at the very beginning of “bad” and the descent towards “worst” will likely be exponential.
For some reason my security software blocks bookpecker, and HARD! As in "DO NOT PROCEED!"
