Thanks for the Altman item. I had read this before, but it is good to be reminded! I find his #4 to be the KEY one: many lists like this say "take risks," "believe in yourself," etc., but if you follow only 1 2 3 and 5 you end up like so may cranky geniuses who end up disillusioned and living in the garage. You have to convince others of your idea, and that does NOT mean telling them they are stupid, or "just don't get it," or are misguided, etc. Too many visionaries flop when they lose patience with people who don't understand the vision after being told once. Or twice. Make the connection, "sell" the idea!
