Facebook marketplace has been my goto for finding things at a good price locally. I have also been able to find better prices outside of my local search area shipped to me. Usually there is a little more risk involved so you have to be careful. Ive found it also a great place to connect with local community pages in order to buy or sell things in bulk by setting up a yard sale type of even. You let people in a certain radius of your home know about the sale through the community. Bonus if you are able to leverage things like cashapp or a card scanner so they can pay for more expensive items quickly. I did this in 2012 and quickly sold off a house full of items before I relocated from one part of the country to another. It was surprisingly successful and I was able to interact with people in real time to know when they might show up for the larger furniture items.
I know 'in theory' you can adjust your Facebook settings so that friends don't see what you list on Facebook Marketplace, but in reality, I've seen all kinds of junk that friends are trying to sell, for outrageous prices. One neighbor was trying to sell a badly scratched leather chair, I'm talking decades of scratches by their late dog, vs giving it an away for free. Another friend bought a pallet of returns from Target and listings showed up for weeks. That's one reason we still give stuff away on Craigslist, although I have been meaning to try Buy Nothing groups, which you have to opt into.

The information about auditing personal information is very useful. Thanks.
